Meet Kanika — The Heart Behind Sugar Slice
Hi, I’m Kanika!
Every cake has a story. Mine began with a craving for one I couldn’t find.
When I moved from India to the Philippines in 2017, I brought my Indian roots and love of celebrations with me. As a lifelong vegetarian, I struggled to find a delicious eggless cake, so I decided to bake my own.
That personal craving grew into a passion for baking and customized cake design: turning simple ingredients into thoughtful creations that bring someone’s imagination to life.
Today, as a mom to a wonderful four-year-old daughter, I find inspiration in birthday excitement, sweet surprises and the smiles that come with every celebration.
For me, baking is about creating something personal and memorable. Every Sugar Slice cake is handcrafted with love, designed around your story, and made to add sweetness to life’s special moments.
